I toted my Nerf Recon on my hip for Halloween, which made me remember to finally post

Initial tear down of the Recon.

Better shot of the spring, not in its proper firing position mind you, but almost.
I think I only ended up stretching it to be 1/2 inch longer in rest position.

I carved out the single dart storage spot to make room for the 9v battery to power the EL wire.
Used a combination of utility knife and a chisel.

With the trigger in place and all the moving parts the only place I could find to mount the
switch was right above the trigger. It was still a tight fit after the wiring was in.
